Binley’s to re-launch OnMedica

Binley’s has acquired the assets of OnMedica, the UK doctors’ network which went into administration in June.

The site had been in operation for around 10 years, but went into liquidation when its majority shareholder withdrew from the business.

Binley’s specialises in providing the pharmaceutical industry with data and market intelligence on the NHS, and wants to resurrect the site.

The company has acquired all brand names, websites, databases and other intellectual property of OnMedica and is ready to re-launch the website and its services.

Walter Brinzer, publishing director and founder of Binley’s, explained: “OnMedica is a valuable asset containing an impressive library of medical information, and the service fits well into our portfolio of news and information services.

“We have been really pleased at the positive reaction we have received from many of the doctors who use the site and value the services. There are obvious synergies between the services we provide which we hope to develop.”

Binley’s has gained experience in the production of independent news for the pharmaceutical and medical communities across Europe through its and websites.

Binley’s has engaged OnMedica’s former editorial team, as well as other key employees, who will help manage the transition and engage the community members and customers. provides free-to-use services for the doctor community which is paid for by healthcare suppliers and the pharmaceutical industry. Binley’s existing databases, providing reach into all sectors of healthcare in the UK, will significantly enhance the ability to extend the OnMedica brand, particularly into specialist areas of care.
