
IMS Health appoints general manager

Technology services firm IMS Health has named Tim Sheppard as the new general manager for its UK and Ireland business.
Sheppard replaces Mike Sanvoisin who has been appointed to lead the regional development of IMS Health’s Payer and Provider business across North Europe and Africa.
IMS says Sheppard has an strong track record of developing healthcare technology and consultancy businesses and joins IMS Health from Unipart Group, where he was head of healthcare in its consulting practice.
Prior to Unipart Sheppard held a number of senior roles within the IT industry with a special focus on healthcare. At Dell, he ran the public sector services team, responsible for a large healthcare practice and education and local government businesses, including working with the NHS Information Centre.
Sheppard joined Dell as part of its acquisition of Perot Systems in 2010 where he led the UK and European healthcare teams. In his early career, he worked in humanitarian and consultancy roles in Greece, Bosnia, Croatia, Hungary, Kenya and Rwanda.
