Leapfrog has expanded its multimedia division as part of an investment drive into cutting-edge technologies by its parent company, marketing communications group Adventis.

Surrey-based medical education agency Leapfrog says it is unique among its UK peers in having an entirely in-house team.

Adventis acquired Leapfrog for £2 million earlier this year, and the expansion of the agency's multimedia capability is part of its mission to invest in and explore the internet to its greatest potential.

Adventis chief executive Charles Phillpot said: "We have a mission to deliver cutting-edge solutions to our clients by targeting increasingly We complex and diverse audiences as efficiently and effectively as possible.

"Marketing solutions today require a blend of on and offline tools. We are focusing on developing our online services in a variety of areas including podcasts, search engine optimisation and key word click-throughs."

Along with Leapfrog, Adventis other healthcare subsidiaries include the advertising agencies Affiniti and Roundhouse, making Adventis Healthcare Group a top 10 UK healthcare agency.

Its parent group, which spans the property, financial and healthcare industries, recently announced record results for 2006, with turnover up 62% to £35.5 million.
