Video exclusive: PM Society Digital Awards 2010

Janssen was confirmed as one of the UK pharma industry’s most innovative pharma companies in the field of digital communications at the 2010 PM Society Digital Media Awards last month.

The company won prizes in four separate categories including the coveted ‘Best Integrated Campaign’ for its cancer treatment Velcade. Another particularly notable project was Living with ADHD a multimedia website for patients. (Read the full report here.)

Following the event InPharm teamed up with the PM Society for the following video exclusive that showcases the winning entries and some of the pharma and agency teams behind them. 

Attendees at the event were given electronic keypad devices in order to answer some survey questions about their use of digital.

When asked what percentage of their marketing budget would be spent on digital products this year, 33% of the pharma employees present said that over 30% of their budgets would go on digital, and only 12% said they would spend ‘almost nothing’.

Another question asked what percentage of digital projects the assembled audience had been involved in, were online or web-based – to which 53% said that over 75% of such projects were online.

One question for the agencies attending asked how many digital projects they had delivered in the last 12 months. Some 38% said these numbered over 30, and at the other end of the scale 24% listed less than five projects they had been involved with.
