Janssen repeats digital award success

Janssen was once again the standout winner at last night’s PM Society’s Digital Media Awards.
The pharma company beat its haul at last year’s event to take home five awards, including two for its Psoriasis 360 social media campaign.
The company also picked up an award for its Shaping Futures, Enabling Lives digital selling tool for reps for its schizophrenia brand Xeplion, which the award judges felt “showed strong ROI”.
A number of other pharma companies took home one award each, including Sanofi, Pfizer, Gilead and GlaxoSmithKline.
Now in its third year the 2011 Digital Media awards attracted twice as many entries as last year from more than 40 agencies.
Creative Lynx again led the agency pack, picking up five awards for its work with Janssen and AstraZeneca, for which the Manchester-based agency’s closed-loop marketing application was judged to be a “simple idea delivered beautifully”.
Meanwhile, best digital project/account management award – a new award at the event – was picked up by eBee’s Gemma Tinsdale.
Held at London venue The Brewery the Digital Media Awards saw UK pharma marketers brave Indian summer weather to meet the black tie dress code.
Once there they were entertained by award host and television star Hugh Dennis, who soon had them laughing like pirates before regaling them with tales from his little-known, and not entirely successful, early career as a Unilever marketer.
