AstraZeneca, Klarify, and Novartis Gene Therapies top Digital Awards leaderboard

Pharmaceutical companies AstraZeneca, Klarify, and Novartis Gene Therapies all received two gold awards at the 12th PM Society Digital Awards last week. Some of the biggest names in pharma and healthcare were judged across a number of specialities including market access, building digital communities, innovation, corporate and external comms and more.

Judges from across the digital, creative, and communications agencies across the pharma industry picked their winners in the event broadcast to over 1,000 attendees. The free event allowed for networking between attendees and key players in the industry, with 44 agencies and 46 client companies shortlisted with their projects – the widest range of finalists in Digital Awards history.

In addition to wins for pharma companies, healthcare agencies were also celebrated in the event. Havas Life Medicom won three gold, two silver, and two bronze awards, with ARK Agency finishing second place with two golds and one silver award.

I’d like to highlight our 58 judges, who put in so many hours of work.

“One consequence of the pandemic is that the second round ‘face to face’ judging was so much easier online. Agencies can take just 30 minutes out of their day to present to the panels on Zoom, compared to giving up at least a half day when we held our second round judging in person. This is something which we plan to keep going forward.”
