GPI is looking for a sharp, commercially minded consultant with a background in pharmacy to join the London team with the opportunity of working in a fast-paced, progressive environment.

General Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Leading the project team of analysts with overall responsibility for the quality of end deliverables
  • Maintain, update or develop internal materials needed for daily activities
  • Assist with ad hoc reports and consultancy projects
  • Proactively developing knowledge of the healthcare industry and consulting methodologies
  • Assisting in proposal development
  • Attendance of key medical and commercial conferences
  • Performing qualitative (scientific, clinical, commercial) and quantitative analyses
  • Developing recommendations and exercising informed business judgment to address client issues
  • Delivering best-in-class customer service to keep clients informed of major events and implications related to their businesses
  • Contributing to the preparation, execution and follow up of client workshops
  • Taking responsibility for creating client-ready reports, presentations and other client deliverables
  • Building professional relationships with members of the client team
  • Proactively developing knowledge of the healthcare industry and consulting methodologies
  • Contributing to recruitment and expansion of team

Skills and Specifications

  • At least 1-3 years relevant experience gained from working within the pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industry or in consultancy
  • An advanced degree (MSc, MPharm, MBA, PhD) in a life sciences related field or an undergraduate degree in life sciences with previous commercial experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical/biotech pricing including international reference pricing experience essential
  • Excellent written and verbal English
  • In-depth understanding of a medicine’s life-cycle including the development, regulatory and commercial aspects of global markets
  • Understanding of different healthcare settings and Pricing and reimbursement of medicines in major EU markets
  • Ability to formulate proposals and deliver engagements
  • Highly motivated and energetic with an ability to work Independently
  • Team player
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proven analytical, interpretative and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills and an ability to build credibility with external contacts
  • Good commercial awareness to include understanding of sales and marketing tactics in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Excellent IT literacy e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel and web-based applications
  • Excellent project management, time management and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to deliver high quality work within defined timelines
  • A keenness to learn and commitment to a rapid development curve
  • A strong motivation to thrive in a client-focused, international team environment
