
New immunology and inflammation research global head and North American CSO for Sanofi

Sanofi has announced the appointment of Dr Frank Nestle as both the global head of immunology and inflammation research therapeutic area and North America chief executive officer.
In his new role, Nestle will lead Sanofi’s research efforts in the development of the company’s early portfolio in immunology and inflammation. He will operate out of the Cambridge, Massachusetts office and will report to Dr Yong-Jun Liu, head of research for Sanofi R&D.
Nestle joins the French firm for King’s College London, where he led a number of research and early development projects and teams in the area of dermatology and immunology under the role of Mary Dunhill professor and chair of cutaneous medicine and immunotherapy. Currently, he serves as lead biomarker for the co-diagnostics, imaging and devices cluster at the Biomedical Research Centre and president of the Federation of Clinical Immunology Societies.
