Aiforia has signed a commercial agreement with PathAI to make its artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for digital pathology available to laboratories through PathAI’s AISight Marketplace.

The agreement will extend the reach of Aiforia’s AI models to laboratories using AISight Dx, PathAI’s image management system, with a particular focus on expanding Aiforia’s presence in the US market. Aiforia’s solutions include CE-IVD-marked software for digital pathology in Europe.

The companies said the integration would make Aiforia’s models available within existing pathology case-review workflows. PathAI’s platform also connects laboratories with laboratory and hospital IT systems and offers algorithms for biomarker quantification, tissue classification and diagnostic decision support.

Jukka Tapaninen, Chief Executive Officer of Aiforia, said the agreement would help the company reach laboratories and pathologists already using PathAI’s platform.

Nick Brown, Chief Growth Officer at PathAI, said the aim was to give pathologists access to a broader set of tools within a single system.

The agreement expands the commercial distribution of Aiforia’s software, although the announcement does not specify the number of laboratories expected to gain access or the anticipated financial contribution.

NEWS: On a separate note, Aiforia has won Finland’s Digital Innovation of the Year 2026 public vote in the enterprise category for its AI-based cancer diagnostic software.
