The outbreak infected many who don’t work with the President day to day, with confirmed positive tests being announced for former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, Senators Mike Lee, Thom Tillis and Ron Johnson, University of Notre Dame President John Jenkins, and Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel.

In response to the outbreak, Alyssa Farah, the Communications Director for the Whie House, said that it was taking precautions to make the building COVID-19 secure. The White House has also decided not to trace the contacts of the people who attended the Rose Garden event on 26 September.
