Agentis Health Group acquires Clinical Pharmacist Solutions

Agentis Health Group has acquired Clinical Pharmacist Solutions (CPS), strengthening its pharmacy and digital health business as the NHS expands community-based and preventative care.
Both businesses are CQC-registered and provide pharmacy services to mental health hospitals, care providers, GP practices and primary care networks (PCNs). The acquisition will give CPS access to Agentis’ Living With digital health platform, which is used by 40 NHS trusts, community providers and integrated care boards (ICBs) to support people living with long-term conditions.
Living With combines a clinical dashboard with a patient app and is already used to support conditions including heart failure, respiratory diseases and diabetes. The platform can monitor patients’ symptoms and support medication reviews, with the aim of helping healthcare teams identify deterioration and potentially avoid unnecessary urgent or hospital care.
Agentis said the acquisition will strengthen its ability to combine clinical pharmacy services with digital support for long-term condition management, as the NHS develops neighbourhood health services and seeks to shift care from hospitals into the community.

Clinical Pharmacist Solutions was founded in 2019 to provide clinical pharmacy services to GPs and groups of practices. It has also developed training programmes for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians delivering clinical services.
Ruhina Kassam, Chief Executive of CPS, said the acquisition would give the company access to digital technology that could support the development of new services alongside its existing offer.
The acquisition follows the launch of Agentis Health Group last September, when it acquired Living With. The group was established from Ashtons Hospital Pharmacy Services and operates across pharmacy, laboratory and healthcare services.
