Tonic Life Communications, the PR arm for Huntsworth Health, has added Tracey Carey as its new head of consumer and Tim Russell as the firm’s digital director as part of a double boost to its senior management team.
Carey’s background is drawn from both agency and in-house as a UK and global brand and corporate strategist, including seven-year tenure as director and then head of consumer at FleishmanHillard.
There she oversaw a UK and global client portfolio that included P&G, Nestle, InBev and Aviva. For the last two years she has consulted both in-house and for agencies such as Ogilvy and Salt in health & wellbeing, food, drink & nutrition, and pharma.
Russell (pictured) brings ethical pharma experience having worked for Wyeth (now part of Pfizer), Roche and Eisai in both domestic and European marketing and multi-channel roles.
Most recently Russell was at digital creative agency Havas Lynx where he gained further expertise in the ever-evolving world of digital in a healthcare setting.
Global chief executive of Huntsworth Health, Neil Matheson, says: “I’m delighted that Tracey and Tim have joined our Tonic Europe team. With their strong backgrounds as leaders in consumer brand and digital communications, their expertise will deepen our integrated multi-channel capability, particularly as many clients understand that patients are at the intersection of the professional and consumer worlds.”
