Ben Adams appointed editor of Pharmafocus

Ben Adams has become the new editor of the monthly Pharmafocus newspaper and the Pharmafile.com website.

Adams, formerly the senior reporter for Pharmafocus and a freelance journalist, will from 1 July be responsible for editorial in Pharmafocus and its digital offering at Pharmafile.com.

He specialises in: NHS, healthcare, biotech, financial news, global drug policies, regulatory decisions, digital pharma and pharma culture.

Adams said: “I am very proud to take up the role of editor at Pharmafocus and look forward to developing the brand with its new owners, Samedan Ltd.”

He will take over from the previous editor Andrew McConaghie, who is leaving after 13 years to begin a new career in teaching.

Adams added: “I would like to thank Andrew for his many years of service to Pharmafocus and creating what has become the strongest, editorially-led pharmaceutical publication in the UK.”
