The pharma marketing and healthcare communications industry gathered for the 39th PM Society Awards on 14 March 2025, which celebrates the industry’s best work, at JW Marriott Grosvenor House, London, England.
The most successful companies were 21GRAMS, Havas Lynx, AstraZeneca and UCB.
21GRAMS was awarded seven Gold awards, followed by Havas Lynx and AstraZeneca, which both took home five, and UCB which won four. Other Gold winners included Atomic Matter, CAN Advertising & T&Pm Group, Flipside with Corbin Comms, Genentech and Karo Healthcare.
The Agency of the Year categories recognised small and larger agencies separately. Atomic Matter was awarded Agency of the Year (Headcount Under 30). The judges commented: “Atomic Matter displayed a winning mix of strategy, creativity and flawless execution…” Along with its Gold awards, Havas Lynx also won the larger agency category.
Creativity for Good aims to find a pro bono agency partner for the year’s chosen charity, which was Acrodysostosis Support & Research this year. The winning agency was Syneos Health Communications. Other finalists included Aurora Healthcare Communications, RFA Advertising and Marketing, and Swordfish Advertising supported by xHealthcare.
The Best in Show award was won by Havas Lynx for UCB. The judge commented: “The Unbearable Home was an innovative yet simple concept, beautifully crafted and expertly executed.”
Takeda Oncology UK won the Positive Pitch and Partnership Award. The Creative Champion was Simon Kemp from 21GRAMS.
Finally, Kishan Rees of Bayer was given the Pharma Marketing Pioneer Award. Judge Mike Orriss stated that Rees “is disrupting the global-local model and switching it around to focus on the country’s needs first. Kishan is a pioneer in the true sense of the word”.
The PM Society remembers Neil Smith, who was chair of the society from 1999 to 2002 and led the awards for 20 years. He passed away earlier this year.
It also thanks its sponsors, judges and participants.
