Virgo Health Communications has expanded its UK value and access expertise with the appointment of Tristan Mulholland.
Tristan joins as Account Manager and has over ten years of healthcare communications experience spanning the NHS and charity sector.
His work will focus on Virgo Value, the company’s specialist service aimed at helping pharma, private providers and the NHS to enhance value and access strategies.
Jo Jones, who heads up the Virgo Value service, said the appointment would contribute to the company’s health policy and regulatory expertise.
“Tristan’s in-depth knowledge and experience from primary, secondary and community care settings will bolster our in-house team of experts who have become adept at building effective and creative communications programmes targeting clinicians and commissioners.”
The Virgo Value service draws from the company’s range of expertise covering pharmaceutical marketing, medical education and NHS communications to offer tailored programmes to support value and access strategies. Areas covered include value message generation, stakeholder engagement, commissioning and educational materials, joint NHS-industry working initiatives, media relations and corporate positioning in the context of the ongoing healthcare reforms.
“Keeping pace with the changes in the evolving healthcare landscape presents great challenges but, more importantly, it presents an unprecedented opportunity – to increase innovation, collaborative working and ultimately improved outcomes for patients,” Tristan said. “The true value of healthcare communications today lies in opening up channels and encouraging dialogue across the industry, healthcare professionals and patients.”
The Virgo Value team says clients can call on senior strategic counsel delivered with the ‘hallmark Virgo creativity’ and uncompromised standards. Existing clients include a mixture of leading pharmaceutical companies, private healthcare providers and emerging players in the field of innovative healthcare technology.
