Tonic Life expands into Asia

Tonic Life Communications has opened an office in Hong Kong as the first step in regional expansion plans that will see operations established in Singapore and Shanghai.

Hong Kong-based Tonic Life Communications Asia will serve as the company’s regional office and will be headed up by managing director Joanne Basford.

She has previously served as regional director – healthcare, Asia-Pacific at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, as well as a director and senior vice president at Porter Novelli.

Founded in 2004 Tonic was acquired by communications group Huntsworth in July 2009 and, following a reshuffle of the group’s med coms businesses last September, has its main bases in London and Philadelphia.
