Roche will equip its Central and Eastern European salesforces with StayinFront customer relationship management software after expanding its current contract with the company.

The pharmaceutical company will deploy the StayinFront Life Sciences system across most of the Central and Eastern European countries in which it operates.

This follows a similar deal signed just a year ago to equip 11 of Roche's business units in Western Europe, a project StayinFront is already a substantial part of the way through.

StayinFront managing director Nigel Huxtable said: "The feedback from Roche indicated they had a very high level of new adoption across Western Europe halfway through the project and I think it is a real sign of their confidence in us to start another area before the first one is even complete."

The same solution StayinFront built for Roche's business units in Western Europe will now be transferred across to units across Central and Eastern Europe.

Roche are rolling out StayinFront's CRM 9.2 solution using a mixture of portables and PDAs.

The new regional contract will standardise sales representatives, sales managers, product managers and event managers on the same CRM software and support detailing, product sample distribution and data capture.

StayinFront will supply Roche with its StayinFront CRM 9.2 platform, which will allow the pharma company to manage and integrate all its points of customer interaction, as well as take into account customer influencers.

"What I call our 'sweet-spot' is regional deployment and we're doing this for Roche and in Asia-Pacific AstraZeneca. Our software provides a platform for the sales and marketing process, so the software fits to the clients' needs and takes into account country, regional and company differences," Huxtable said.

He points to the exact fit of his company's solution as the reason why it can manage complex regional deployments.

So far more than 70 pharmaceutical companies have chosen StayinFront's software and it has been implemented in over 20 countries in 12 languages.

In the last three years, StayinFront has experienced above average double-digit growth, as a result of new business activities as well as long-term customers.
