MSI launches Brand Services division

The MSI Consultancy has launched a new division to help the pharma industry maximise the impact of its brands.
The creation of the specialist brand services arm builds on the company’s ten years’ of brand development experience, and the new division will complement the existing arms of the business: bespoke consultancy, marketing sciences and training & development.
Brand services will aim to inspire clients to turn good products, whether in market or in pipeline, into great brands, according to Chris Marks, who has been with the firm for ten years, and has now been appointed brand services principal.
“Great brands need to be created with added value beyond just price and reimbursement,” he said. “We call it ‘brand value management’, which is about understanding how value is generated and sustained, and then creating, managing and measuring brand value across every aspect of the business – how brand adds value to payer, physician, patient and business/franchise alike.”
Inaddition to his decade spent working with MSI, Chris Marks has a wealth of OTC and fast moving consumer goods (fmcg) brand experience.
MSI managing director Stephen Highley said, “MSI has been a force in brand development programmes for many years. Brands are the very life-blood of the pharmaceuticals industry. In today’s environment, the concept at the heart of the brand – adding value – is even more important.
“We believe that brand value propositions – on top of the clinical or price based benefits of products – that build connections with customers and stakeholders to drive brand choice, indeed preference, are vital, and Chris’s passion for brands and the processes and skills that MSI possess put us in a leading position to assist clients to create compelling strategic brands with genuine added value nationally, regionally and globally.”
