Meribel Pharma Solutions launches to take pharma services to new heights

Meribel Pharma Solutions, a new mid-sized contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO), has officially launched with operations across 13 sites across France, Spain and Sweden. The company brings together facilities acquired from the Synerlab Group and seven former Recipharm manufacturing sites. The initiative seeks to enhance its services and solution capabilities.Â
Based in the UK, Meribel is supported by Blue Wolf Capital Partners and led by an experience executive team. Bruce Vielle, who was formerly CEO of Synerlab, has been appointed as CEO. Additionally, Steve Leonard, previously corporate vice president of global operations and supply chain at Integra Life Sciences, has joined as chief operating officer.
Meribel offers specialist services across oral solid dose, semi-solid, and sterile manufacturing, with expertise in lyophilisation, preservative-free multidose technologies, and flexible packaging formats including stick-packs and sachets. The firm supports both human and veterinary health products, operating under global regulatory certifications.
Vielle commented: “There is a gap in the market for a niche-player, mid-sized CDMO that’s focused, agile and dedicated to solving complex challenges, and we are well positioned to fulfill this unmet need.“
He added: “We have invested heavily in the latest technologies and expanded our capacity to meet the evolving needs of our customers.“
