How did you find your way into your role?

This was really through what I would describe as the 'traditional' route, through sales and affiliate marketing roles. Following this I spent some time in a global marketing role, which led to my current position as vice president of marketing in Europe.

The position has been newly created to allow our chief operating officer, Ken Jones to focus on our European strategy and meet the objective of global category leader in areas where Astellas has strong expertise. Astellas Pharma is a young company, having only been in existence since April 2005, as a result of the merger of Fujisawa and Yamanouchi.

Astellas is going through an exciting transition and has ambitious plans for growth through our transplant, urology, dermatology and anti-infective therapeutic categories. We have a quality portfolio of products, which will help us to continue to support treatment in areas where there are unmet clinical needs.
