Teva Romania announces new general manager

Israeli multinational Teva Pharmaceuticals have announced the appointment of Stana Moisescu as the General Director of Teva Romania, the company’s Romanian branch, based in the nation’s capital, Bucharest.

Teva, who rank first across the globe among generic drug companies, began operating in Romania in 2006. The multinational firm now operates in 60 different countries and covers more than 1,800 different molecules.

Moisescu, herself commented on the appointment in stating: “I am honoured and in the same time it is a challenge for me to take over the management of Teva Pharmaceuticals in Romania. I am in this company for eight years already and along with the team we contributed to its progress. I will continue to be a team player and I am thrilled to have the privilege of working with professionals, with a good knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry. Our priority in terms of business is to consolidate our position of important supplier of quality drugs for the Romanian patients.”

Moisescu, who joined Teva in 2010, had previously worked at British multinational GlaxoSmithKline for 12 years. Immediately prior to joining Teva, the new CEO played a role as Financial Director at IT company, Ness Romania. Moisescu graduated from the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies in 1994.
