NHS Board appointments

Further Commissioning Support Unit (CSU) managing directors have been announced by the NHS Board Authority.

  • Nick Relph, South London CSU (currently interim chief operating officer)
  • Clodagh Warde Robinson, Surrey and Sussex CSU (currently deputy chief executive/director of Strategy and New Business at Sussex Community NHS Trust)
  • Maddy Ruff, North Yorkshire and Humber CSU (currently interim MD for North Yorkshire and the Humber CSU)
  • Alison Hughes, West Yorkshire CSU (currently interim MD for West Yorkshire CSU)
  • Daryl Robertson, Kent and Medway CSU (currently interim MD for Kent and Medway CSU)

Andrew Kenworthy (currently chief executive of NHS South London) will be joining the NHS Commissioning Board Authority’s Commissioning Development Directorate via an IMAS assignment as director of CSU Transition Programme until a substantive appointment is made.

The Board Authority has also announced the following Very Senior Manager (VSM) posts.

Commissioning Development Directorate: Bob Ricketts (pictured) has been recruited as director of Commissioning Support Strategy and Market Development. He is currently director of Provider Policy at the Department of Health (DoH).

Patients and Information Directorate: Colin Douglas has been designated to transfer to the NHS Commissioning Board Authority as director of Communications from his role as director of NHS Communications at the DoH.

Finance Directorate: Ann Johnson has been appointed as director of Financial and Corporate Performance. Johnson is currently director of Finance at NHS North Central London.
