Michael Griffith becomes executive vice president of inVentiv Health

inVentiv Health has appointed Michael Griffith as its new executive vice president.
In this capacity, Griffith will head inVentiv’s commercial and consulting businesses and report to inVentiv Health’s chief executive Paul Meister.
Griffith combines financial expertise with knowledge of the pharma sector drawn from his leadership of three biotech and pharma companies over nearly two decades.
Most recently, Griffith was the chief executive of Laureate Biopharma, a contract manufacturing organisation providing outsourced biologics development and manufacturing services to the biopharmaceutical industry.
Griffith also founded and served as chief executive of Aptuit, and also served as chairman and chief executive of ChiRex, a pharmaceutical process development company.

Griffith will head inVentiv’s commercial and consulting businesses that include Campbell Alliance, a management consulting firm; Adheris Health, a provider of patient adherence programmes; Chandler Chicco Companies, the healthcare communications firm; and inVentiv Selling Solutions, a provider of outsourced clinical field and sales teams.
Griffith started his career in the financial services sector, working at both Bankers Trust Company and Credit Suisse First Boston.
He holds a Master of Management from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, and received his BS degree from the University of Kansas.
