Merck appoints Bridgette Heller

Bridgette Heller has joined Merck & Co as executive vice president and president, consumer health care.

She moves to Merck from Johnson & Johnson, where she had served as president of that company’s global baby business since 2007.

Prior to that she was Johnson & Johnson’s global president, baby, kids and wound care.

In her new role Heller will leverage Merck’s consumer products brands to capitalise on new growth opportunities, including expanding the consumer business in markets outside the US.

Merck’s consumer products include nasal congestion spray Afrin, allergy treatment Claritin and Lotrimin for athletes foot.
