HSCIC appoints new specialist

The Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) has appointed Andy Kinnear as a specialist.

He will join the organisation next month on secondment and provide advice on local delivery of integrated care in line with its provider support directorate.

Kinnear is the director of Business Intelligence and Informatics at South West Commissioning Support (SWCS), the CSU supporting CCGs in and around Bristol and Somerset. He has worked across a number of areas, including data management and analytics, IT services, information governance and delivery of transformational technology projects.

Kinnear says: “I am looking forward to taking up this new role, which will help to deliver a more joined-up approach to health and social care at a local level, and ultimately, improve patient experience and outcomes.”

Tom Denwood, HSCIC National Provider Support director, adds: “I am absolutely delighted that Andy has joined the team. There is an opportunity to bring HSCIC’s expertise to help co-produce solutions to support the local delivery of integrated care. Andy’s advice and guidance will be invaluable in making this happen.”
