EMG appoints two new senior members

A new chair and vice-chair have been appointed to lead the European Medicines Group (EMG).  

EMG is the voice of research-driven UK pharma companies globally headquartered on the continent, and has a focus on ensuring UK patient access to modern medicines. 

Steve Turley, managing director of Lundbeck, has been elected as the new chair for the 2012-13 term of office, replacing UCB managing director Matthew Speers. 

Robin Bhattacherjee, the general manager of Actelion in the UK and Ireland, is appointed as the new vice-chair.

Mike Sumpter, chief executive of Servier Laboratories, will continue as the Group’s treasurer.
