BMS hires Ann Powell Judge from Shire

BMS has announced that Ann Powell Judge will join the company as senior vice president, Human Resources.

From March Judge will report to Lamberto Andreotti, BMS’ chief executive, and becomes a member of the company’s senior management team.

“Ann brings more than 20 years of broad international human resources experience across multiple industries that will be important to my management team and to our company as we continue to execute our BioPharma strategy,” said Andreotti.

Prior to joining BMS Judge was chief human resources officer at Shire Pharmaceuticals. Before Shire, she was corporate vice president, Human Resources, for the Pharmaceutical Division at Wyeth.

Previously, Judge spent 13 years at The Dow Chemical Company, where she worked internationally in a variety of human resources positions of increasing scope and responsibility, spending some time living and working in Germany and Switzerland.

“I am looking forward to joining the team at Bristol-Myers Squibb,” said Judge. “The company is well-known for its focused and successful BioPharma strategy, and its understanding that people development and organisational effectiveness is a key component of that success.”
