
ABPI appoints UK pharma team to head VBP discussion

The ABPI has announced the team which will represent the pharma industry in negotiations with the government to agree the new Value-Based Pricing scheme from 2014.
The negotiations will begin in September and the ABPI has chosen a team which is representative of different sizes of companies, as well as the different geographies.
The team representing ABPI will be:
John Kearney, UK & Ireland general manager of Amgen. He will serve as chair of the team.
Pete Butterfield, executive director, Alliance.
Erik van Snippenberg, general manager & senior VP UK, GSK.
Jon Emms, managing director UK, Pfizer.
Matthew Speers (pictured), managing director, UK and Ireland, UCB.
They will be supported by an ABPI team led by Alison Clough, commercial director.
