Obituary – Cephalon’s Paul Jewsbury

Cephalon UK’s senior product manager Paul Jewsbury lost his long and hard-fought battle against a recurring brain tumour in December.

Paul, or PJ as his colleagues knew him, was one of the many unsung heroes of the pharmaceutical industry. He came to work every day, did a great job and made sure the products he was responsible for were a success.

“Paul was a realist, yet very mischievous and always had an optimistic view on life and work.  He respected and valued the contribution his colleagues and the agencies who worked with him made …. and always had a ‘hello chuck’ for everyone,” the company said.

Paul started his career in the industry in 1987 at Winthrop Laboratories, as a medical representative.

He also held various positions within medical education and advertising agencies including Medicus, Lane, Earl & Cox and Pan Communications where he managed the Cephalon account.

Paul eventually joined Cephalon’s marketing team taking responsibility for their pain portfolio and remained there for the last six years of his career.

Paul leaves behind his beloved wife Jenny and their two girls. If you would like to donate to the Brain Tumour Research Campaign in memory of Paul please go to: www.justgiving.com/Jenny-Jewsbury.
