Amanda Stuart will later this week join the ABPI as its new head of government affairs, with a remit to lead its work with UK and European politicians.
She moves to the UK pharma industry body from Insight Public Affairs, where she was an associate director, and takes up her new position on 4 February.
“With a general election looming, I am looking forward to getting straight down to the business of talking to MPs, parliamentary candidates, researchers and others about the pharmaceutical industry’s vital contribution to the health and wealth of the country,” Amanda said.
“Whatever the result of the general election, it is crucial that the industry’s voice is heard and its messages clearly understood. I relish the task.”
At Insight, Amanda provided high-level advice to clients in politics and healthcare and she is also co-founder of Women in Communications Inc, London which aims to support women in all areas of communication, including the promotion of female candidates.
