Virgo Health Education announces new senior team

Virgo Health Education has appointed a new head of medical education and announced a number of senior team promotions. 

Katherine Mantell who joined Virgo in 2010 becomes the firm’s new global head of medical education, previously holding the position of director of global scientific services. 

She has over 15 years’ experience working in medical education, providing strategic direction of global communication plans for products. Mantell leads a team of over 40 across Virgo’s Richmond and New York offices providing programmes for clients such as Takeda, Eisai, Boehringer Ingelheim and Novartis.

In the UK, Mantell is supported by Patricia Jones who has recently been promoted to client services director and Jenny Szkolar (pictured) who has taken on the role of associate editorial director. 

The division has further strengthened its senior team with the promotion of Derek Annan to business development account director.

Sarah Matthew who is the joint chief executive of Virgo Health, says: “Underpinned by our new ‘Health with a Human Touch’ proposition and with Katherine’s leadership, we have even bigger aspirations to evolve the way in which medical education is delivered and consumed in the year ahead.”
