
Sartorius hires laboratory manager

Lab and technology firm Sartorius has appointed Michael Melingo to be its laboratory manager.
Melingo is to succeed Dominique Baly in the Sartorius lab business based in
Goettingen, Germany. Starting in April Melingo will head its marketing, sales and Lab Products & Services Division.
Baly is retiring from the company as planned, and Melingo will be reporting to chief executive and chairman Dr Joachim Kreuzburg.
Melingo takes more than 30 years of industry experience to the firm as a sales and marketing executive, and joins Sartorius from Metrohm, the Swiss manufacturer of analytical instruments, where he was chief executive of its US subsidiary.
Prior to that he had worked for Baxter, Bio-Rad, Millipore and Waters in Europe and Asia.
Kreuzburg said: “With Michael, we have found an exceptionally experienced manager to join our team, who has successfully managed international laboratory businesses.”
