Edelman appoints new head of Health Public Affairs

Edelman the world’s largest PR firm has appointed Camilla Horwood to a new role as UK head of Health Public Affairs.
Horwood will lead on the development and marketing of a new Health Public Affairs offering, and also provide experienced UK health policy, market access and strategic political advice to Edelman’s existing EMEA and Global client base.
Commenting on her appointment, Steve Spurr, Edelman’s chief operating officer said: “By adding Camilla Horwood to the award-winning health and public affairs teams already in place, we now have a best-in-class health public affairs offer. This puts us in a very strong position to serve both existing and new clients as they navigate challenging market access issues and the ever-changing health policy environment created by Government health reforms.”
Horwood has ten years of experience within public affairs and strategic communications both in-house and in agency settings. This has seen her provide senior political counsel and issues management advice to a wide range of organisations at chief executive and board level, including: medical device suppliers, global pharmaceutical companies, private healthcare providers, health insurers, patient groups and charities. Prior to joining Edelman, she was associate director/head of Health at Portcullis Public Affairs.
