New agency eBee has been launched as a specialist in groundbreaking digital work.

The agency is a spin-off subsidiary of Hive and is led by managing director Kate Reynolds. Kate has extensive experience across advertising, medical education, market research, PR and public affairs both agency and client side.

The agency says it is structured and staffed to transfer innovative practices and ideas from other industries and make them work in a healthcare setting.

“People are consuming information in new ways – demanding more interaction and more relevance. And in other sectors, they’re getting it,” says Kate.

“Our industry, however, has been slow to adopt the innovative communication technologies that can deliver these. eBee is here to change all this. Our raison d’etre is to innovate – to do things differently, more effectively.”

“We’re not afraid to admit that other industries are ahead of the game, when it comes to digital and cutting edge communication technologies. So, we take the unusual approach of ‘borrowing’ their tactics, and combining them with a solid understanding of healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers, to develop and execute digital communication strategies that work,” she says.

Hive say they have taken great care in developing eBee, spending eight months, on researching and developing its capabilities and building a bank of technology solutions to problems clients commonly encounter.

Kate and her team say they will call on their experience across a broad range of brands, including consumer and prescription medicines.
