Virgo Health has been ranked fourth overall in a survey of best small workplaces.
The healthcare communications firm based in Richmond in London, has been recognised in the Great Place to Work Institute’s Best Small Workplace Programme for three years in a row.
Tom O’Byrne, chief executive of the Great Place to Work Institute UK, said: “Virgo Health has continued to perform at an outstanding level.”
Virgo has been awarded the accolade for the last three years, but this year achieved a spot three places higher than 2011. Tom O’Byrne added: “Employees voice strong approval of the organisation’s flat hierarchy with room for open discussion, the serious investment in the development of its people and the honesty and fairness with which it conducts its business practices, both internally and externally.
“Staff respond to the responsibility entrusted to them and they take pride in the organisation’s open culture. Engagement and trust work hand-in-hand at Virgo Health.”
The criteria specified for a great workplace are that employees must trust management, take pride in their roles and enjoy working with their colleagues.
Anna Parfitt, HR director said: “Our aim is for Virgo to continue to be a great environment for people to work, and to nurture our team to provide our clients the very highest levels of expertise and service. We are extremely proud of our bright and passionate team, and are overjoyed at the results of this year’s Great Place to Work survey.”
