Takara and Macherey-Nagel enter distribution agreement for global expansion

Takara Bio Europe has entered into a distribution agreement with Macherey-Nagel (MN), an analytical and bioanalytical product provider, to expand its global development. Under this agreement, Takara Bio Europe will distribute MN’s bioanalysis portfolio in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Luxemburg, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK.

Based in Düren, Germany, MN specialises in molecular biology and chemical analysis. The company’s portfolio includes solutions for RNA, DNA and protein purification from a wide range of sample types and formats.

Takara Bio Europe, a subsidiary of Takara Bio, is a global manufacturer and supplier of molecular and cellular research reagents and services. Their portfolio supports applications including cloning, genetic analysis, protein expression and purification, gene editing and stem cell research.

“Researchers have long paired MN’s extraction and purification kits with our downstream tools, and with great success,” commented Caroline Cousquer, head of marketing of Europe, Middle East and Africa area at Takara Bio Europe. “This partnership gives scientists even more confidence in their workflow.”
