PSI, a global contract research organisation (CRO), has announced the opening of a new office in Osaka as part of its planned Japanese expansion.
The new office is the second to be opened by PSI in the Hilton Plaza West Office Tower in Umeda, Kita-ku, Osaka. PSI opened its first Japanese office in Tokyo in 2025, also appointing Sayaka Kaji as Country Manager for Japan. The addition of an office location in Osaka assists PSI’s Japanese expansion by linking up sponsors with local teams and local teams with established sites.
The combination of a larger staff and two strategically-placed Japanese locations is designed to bolster relationships with the country’s clinical research specialists and deliver accelerated, informed results for PSI’s Japanese clients.
Other recent office expansions from PSI are located across the globe, including in South Korea, Singapore, China, Taiwan, India, Australia and New Zealand.
Founded in 1995, PSI is a CRO specialising in the delivery of clinical trials for its clients. It has a particular focus on phase 2 and phase 3 trials in fields including oncology, haematology, gastroenterology, autoimmune diseases and neurology.
“PSI’s approach means we adapt rapidly to our clients’ needs and market changes,” Sayaka Kaji, Country Manager for Japan, said.
She added: “[In 2025,] we hit our milestones and grew our team significantly. The new office in Osaka will ensure that sponsors in Japan can count on the same standard of excellence that defines PSI worldwide, with local experts who understand the region’s unique challenges and bring proven solutions to every project.”
