The campaign focuses on early detection and education
Pierre Fabre Laboratories has announced a partnership with the Know Your Lemons Foundation to support education and early detection of breast cancer.
“Our partnership with the Know Your Lemons Foundation reflects our commitment to supporting everyone, everywhere, to better understand the signs of breast cancer and to act early,” said Nuria Perez-Cullell, medical and patient director at Pierre Fabre Laboratories.
The Know Your Lemons Foundation is an international organisation focusing on increasing awareness around breast cancer, specifically its symptoms and early warning signs. Lemons are used as a visual metaphor, with messaging showing 12 fruits representing different symptoms. The foundation’s resources are available in over 30 languages across 100 countries, and as an interactive mobile app that can provide reminders and guides for users, created by healthcare professionals and educators.
The partnership focuses on a global initiative, timed to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. To support the increased emphasis on awareness of the symptoms and warning signs, international teams in the French pharma-cosmetic company will host several education events throughout the month. These are scheduled to include online activities, such as interactive webinars and social media campaigns, as well as in-person activities, including the distribution of multilingual, locally tailored brochures and t-shirts featuring relevant messaging.
“By joining forces, we are advancing prevention and empowering everyone to take charge of their health,” added Perez-Cullell.
