The past week has seen mostly positive COVID-19 vaccine developments; Pfizer has confirmed its jab is effective against both the UK and South Africa virus variants, Novavax’s candidate showed almost 90% efficacy in its Phase III trial, and Johnson & Johnson’s single-shot vaccine has been found to be 85% effective.

Johnson & Johnson has announced that its COVID-19 vaccine candidate is 85% effective in preventing serious symptoms of the disease, after interim analysis of Phase III of its trial.
