Hill+Knowlton Strategies (H+K) has increased the size of its healthcare team with the appointment of Mary Hicks as a director.
Hicks will be leading its Harley St. Clinic account, as well as several pharmaceutical company programmes for the UK market.
Hicks has more than 20 years’ experience in healthcare public relations, and has been involved in a multitude of PR activities throughout her career.
She has led creative media campaigns, developed stakeholder engagement programmes, and worked with advocacy groups. In the past, Hicks has worked on multiple Communiqué Award-winning campaigns, headed up Bristol-Myers Squibbs’ immuno-oncology portfolio, and co-founded a public relations agency. She joins the team from the healthcare comms agency TogoRun.
Sue Cook, managing director of Healthcare and Medical Knowledge Group at H+K, said: “Mary is a great asset to our team and clients with her deep understanding of the communications needs of the pharmaceutical industry and ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.”
The appointment of Hicks is one of several recent additions to H+K’s healthcare team, and follows the hiring of David Bowen as Global head of Healthcare and Sue Cook as managing director.
