The 3 Monkeys Communications firm has been chosen to run a new psoriasis brief for Forest Laboratories.

The brief is for Forest’s Exorex treatment for psoriasis and the relief of its symptoms. 3 Monkeys has been appointed to raise awareness of the Exorex brand and product range amongst psoriasis sufferers.

The firm said its project campaign includes consumer and healthcare professional media relations, stakeholder engagement and social media community management.

Forest Laboratories UK chose 3 Monkeys for “demonstrating an in-depth understanding of the market, strong relationships with key media in the sector and a creative approach to influencer relations”, according to the firm. The appointment also strengthens 3 Monkeys’ new Health + Wellness practice, following the recent win Shooting Star CHASE.

The account will be led by Dr Martin Godfrey, managing director of 3 Monkeys Health + Wellness. The company will work with Forest Laboratories UK in-house team Roopa Malhotra, senior brand manager and James Sharman, junior product manager.

Exorex is an established brand within dermatology and has been on the market for over 13 years.

Roopa Malhotra, senior brand manager for Exorex said: “We are delighted to be working with 3 Monkeys on an exciting new campaign that will reach out to psoriasis sufferers.”

Dr Godfrey said: “Psoriasis is a common condition yet the day-to-day impact on sufferer’s everyday life is underestimated. This campaign allows us to demonstrate our unique mix of consumer understanding within the health environment and is another exciting win at the start for our new Health + Wellness practice.”
