James Caan, one of the panel of entrepreneurs on TV’s Dragons’ Den, is to expand his business into the healthcare field.
Caan’s firm HB Prime Advantage provides advice to business owners to help them grow rapidly and monetise the value of their companies.
Now the firm is expanding into the sphere of biotech and life science SMEs by hiring global marketing and business development leader Steven Docksey.
Docksey has accumulated more than 20 years of experience building and leading global teams, designing and implementing business strategies, and preparing firms for successful exits. He has worked as managing director and vice president for global giants in the pharma and biotech arena, including Millipore Corporation and GE Healthcare Life Sciences.
Having based half of his career overseas, Docksey’s international experience is said to really set him apart. His global expertise is apparantly evident in his approach to business which combines commercial strategy and transformational leadership. As UK companies are increasingly looking to adapt their business models to gain traction in overseas markets, Docksey’s global market knowledge and international flair will provide welcome support to technology SMEs in highly regulated industries.
HB Prime Advantage will use Docksey’s expertise and success in transforming businesses, both at home and abroad, in a quest to transform UK SMEs in the pharma, biotech and life science fields. Caan and Docksey are currently recruiting small and medium-sized enterprises in the UK with a similar passion for growth and development.
