Cold Chain Technologies (CCT), a global provider for temperature-sensitive packing and digital solutions, has acquired Global Cold Chain Solutions (GCCS), a provider of passive cold chain solutions primarily in Australia and India. Based in Massachusetts, US, the deal furthers CCT’s reach to South Asia and Oceania, where there is vast investment in life sciences verticals.
This recent agreement marks another milestone for CCT’s portfolio, catalysed by its partnership with Aurora Capital Partners in 2019.
GCCS has described the partnership as an excellent opportunity for the company’s growth. “We are excited to leverage CCT’s diversified product portfolio, thermal engineering expertise and proprietary digital track-and-trace software to accelerate our worldwide growth,” said Andrew Meyers, founder and chief executive officer of GCCS.
With its manufacturing network spanning Australia and India, GCCS designs and manufactures thermal assurance for a range of life sciences applications. This allows for reliable transportation of life-saving drugs, and the company prides itself on meeting blue-chip life sciences customers globally.
Chief executive officer of CCT, Ranjeet Banerjee, commented: “We are thrilled to partner with Andrew and the entire GCCS team to further expand CCT’s footprint in Asia Pacific.”
Banerjee added that GCCS’ “rapid expansion in India and other global markets are further testament to the quality of its products, operations and customer service”.
