CANDOR Bioscience acquired by Medix Biochemica

CANDOR Biosciences, a supplier in immunoassay solutions, has been acquired by Medix Biochemica, a supplier of raw materials for in vitro diagnostic (IVD). This will support the vision from Medix Biochemica to become the first-in-choice partner for raw materials in the IVD industry.
Medix Biochemica claim that the acquisition will strengthen its range of materials, continuously ensuring high quality. Additionally, the acquisition enhances its capabilities in immunoassay development, supporting test manufacturers.
Co-founders and managing directors of CANDOR Bioscience, Dr Tobias Polifke and Dr Peter Rauch, stated: “Joining forces with Medix Biochemica is an exciting milestone for CANDOR. CANDOR biosciences will continue to be based in Germany, where the company’s headquarters have been situated since its founding in 2004. The company will also retain its specialty for stabilisers and blockers, which are currently being used globally. The sum of the acquisition has not been disclosed
