
Brammer Bio to set up new plant in Norton, Massachusetts

Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Brammer Bio is planning to set up a new manufacturing facility in Norton, Massachusetts.
The Thermo Fisher subsidiary plans to employ 300 staff in its new Norton plant by 2021.
While the project is still in the preliminary stages, the cell and gene therapy firm plans to fund the new plant with tax increment financing (TIF), a public financing method used for redevelopment.
Brammer currently employs around 600 people in various locations, so will be increasing its stff by 50%.
In recent years Alnylam Pharmaceuticals also set up a $200 million plant in Norton’s industrial park.
