Marketing communications group Adventis has acquired med ed agency LeapFrog Medical for more than £2 million to form one of the UK's largest integrated healthcare agencies.

Adventis Group's chief executive Charles Phillpot said: "We are very much aware that our clients require a blended offering for optimum reach of their target markets.

"LeapFrog bring with them an exceptionally well tailored medical education service as their distinguished client list, including GSK, Pfizer, MSD, Roche and Novartis, bears testimony."

The group will pay up to £2.65 million for Surrey-based LeapFrog and principal directors Tim Schofield and Gail Rowe said they were looking forward to the new opportunities that lie ahead.

"We see joining forces with two top creative agencies as a unique way of adding value to our clients. Being able to address their various needs within one group will be a tremendous bonus for us all," they added.

The agency was established in 2002 and offers a wide range of services, including NHS advisory boards, educational meetings, key opinion leader development and patient education.

Its acquisition brings the number of staff in Adventis healthcare group to more than 50 and means the group now offers a complete range of integrated healthcare marketing services, from medical education to advertising and new media.
