Paris-based Vaxon Biotech has announced its founder Dr Konstantinos Kosmatopoulos is moving from his current role as chief scientific officer to become chief executive.
Kosmatopoulos will now use his experience as a medical oncologist and immunologist to lead the company from the top seat. He established Vaxon Biotech in 2004 on the basis of his work as research director at Inserm, France’s national institute of health, and his work specialising in tumor immunotherapy at Institut Gustave Roussy (IGR), a leading cancer research institute.
“I am very enthusiastic and delighted to hold this new position at Vaxon Biotech, the company I founded ten years ago,” says Kosmatopoulos.
“I have always been convinced of its potential in anti-tumor immunotherapy, a very promising sector in oncology. Using all my knowledge and experience I will continue to work towards Vaxon achieving its goals and speeding up its activity.”
