Cellzome’s president and chief executive Tim Edwards has been elected chairman of the BioIndustry Association.

Commenting on his election he said: “I eagerly look forward to helping the BIA build on the successes it has achieved to date. The UK life sciences sector continues to face a number of challenges which the BIA can help its members address and overcome.”

The BIA’s chief executive Nigel Gaymond, said: “I would like to thank Clive for the massive contribution he has made to the BIA during his time as chairman. I would especially like to thank him for the contribution he has made to our work with the Office for Life Sciences.
