Health communications agency TBWA\Paling Walters has promoted former client services director Andy Hayley to managing director.
He will succeed company founder Michael Paling, who has decided to step back from day-to-day control of the business. Paling will remain in a non-executive chairman’s role where he will advise and support the agency into 2011.
In his new role, Hayley will head up the 60 strong agency, which is part of the TBWA\London Group and whose clients include GSK, Pfizer, Roche and Bayer amongst others.
Group chief executive Robert Harwood-Matthews said: “Andy’s dedication, talent and contribution to client growth at TBWA\ over the past 10 years is testament to his promotion. He is fantastically placed to help us grow TBWA\Paling Walters and ultimately, the Group.”
Hayley’s promotion follows a 10-year stint at Omnicom-owned TBWA\Paling Walters where he has been instrumental in leading a range of accounts including Lipitor, Viagra, NiQuitin and the agency’s seven GSK leading consumer brands.
Set up 30 years ago, Paling Walters became part of Omnicom in 1987 and then 21 after that, and following an extensive partnership with TBWA\, it was renamed TBWA\Paling Walters, forming part of the TBWA\WorldHealth Network and its European Hub.
