
SCM Pharma appoints new director

Contract development and manufacturing organisation SCM Pharma has expanded its commercial management team with the appointment of a new director.
Simon Bellamy joins the firm as Business Development director and will be primarily responsible for bringing in new clinical trials business, as well as looking for small commercial opportunities for the company’s new £6m facility in Newburn, UK.
Bellamy takes to SCM Pharma over 30 years of experience in the pharma industry. His most recent business development roles were at Catalent Pharma Solutions and Piramal Healthcare.
Dianne Sharp, managing director at SCM Pharma, said: “Attracting Simon to our business is a major coup given his past experience in the contract manufacturing arena and he will no doubt add a huge amount of value to our exciting growth plans.”
Bellamy added: “The sterile market is one of the highest growth area in pharmaceutical outsourcing at the moment so offers incredible opportunity for growth for SCM Pharma, which was a major factor in joining this exciting business.”
